Dear College Partners:

The Texas Workforce Commission appreciates your continued participation in the Skills Development Fund grant program. Your efforts ensure that the workforce in Texas remains highly skilled and competitive, contributing not only to the success of your business partners, but to the economy as a whole.

In an effort to promote and support college's ability to quickly address business needs, TWC will begin implementing a process for making available incentive funds for colleges whose training projects are succeeding and are meeting target deliverables on a timely bases. At 50% into a Skills project, TWC will review how the college is doing in successfully meeting the deliverables (training hours, # of trainees, expenditures). Colleges that are on target will be eligible to request additional capacity expansion funds which may be used to support equipment purchases and curriculum to meet the emerging needs of your local businesses.

We are hopeful that we can encourage all of you to quickly meet your business partners' training needs, and in doing so, we can provide you with additional funds which will allow you to expand your capacity to further meet local employer needs. For details on these capacity building funds click here.
